Amy is a mother of two and a classically trained chef with over 20 years’ experience in the culinary world. Amy is driven by her belief that good, clean food, cooked with love, has the ability to heighten the senses, nourish the soul, and bring people together. She also believes a positive relationship with food is essential to healthy living.

Amy combines her passion for cooking, nutrition, and teaching to empower her online cooking community to have confidence, ease and loads of fun in the kitchen

Amy's experience in the kitchen all started in a little town in Laos, where she helped friends start up and run a small restaurant. Sitting around a local feast each night before service, Amy gained great admiration for the culture’s passion and talent with fresh foods. She began to discover the connection between what we eat and how we feel.

Following her taste buds, Amy went on to travel throughout the countries of Europe, Asia, and South America tucking into kitchens in search of secrets at every opportunity. This started an everlasting trend and now Amy continues to explore the globe, wander its many markets and gather inspirational recipes for use back home.

For over a decade, Amy ran her own Toronto-based catering and personal chef business, Say-She-Ate. Cooking for multiple clients with special dietary restrictions, along with becoming a mother led Amy to expand her culinary studies into the world of nutrition by becoming a certified Culinary Nutrition Expert in 2016.

Today, Amy is thrilled to be teaching her community how to cook for real life through her online cooking classes.
